Ian Cangy

Ian has worked as a school chaplain for seven years.  He is the chaplain for our Middle and Senior School campus at Kellyville and relates well to the pre-teen and teenage students.  His youth, exuberance and passion for God are strong assets that he brings to the role.

Ian believes in empowering and mentoring our students, and enjoys encouraging them to grow and develop into contributing, well-adjusted members of society.  To that end he works hard to help them recognise their talents, abilities and value.

Chaplain Blessing.jpg

2017 here we go!

I am sure you have all created beautiful memories with your families over the holidays, and I hope that you have also caught up on sleep and rest! I am praying for all of you, as school families, that you will have a year where you experience God's abundant blessing in your work, home, and family life.

My name is Nicholas Kross, I have just arrived in Sydney to serve as Chaplain at the junior campus. I love working with kids and leading them into a loving relationship with Jesus through His words and how He lived. I believe that we are so privileged to know our loving and powerful God.

You know as well as I do that peace is becoming a rare commodity in today's world. Tension, stress, fear... depression. That's what we see all the time on the news, in our friends, and even in our own families. When we look around at the world and put our trust in man it doesn't take long to lose our confidence.

One of the most beautiful blessings that God has given us through Jesus Christ is this peace.

Jesus said: "I am leaving you with a gift - peace of heart and mind. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled and afraid." - John 14:27 (NLT)

Why do we feel like we need to be so self sufficient? I don't know the answer to this. But what I do know is that when we rely on Jesus, and when we talk with Jesus, He gives us abundant blessing. And peace is at the top of the list.

Why not take some time right now to read this little section of Jeremiah, which is 4 verses.

Jeremiah 17 : 5 - 8.

May you rely on Jesus this year, and trust that He is good, and may He bless you with peace despite what comes.
