The purpose of the Orientation Day is to introduce students to their new school and to allow the teachers at the school to meet their new students. Many new students will value this opportunity to become familiar with the College environment and to meet other students who will be in class with them. It is our hope that at the beginning of next year all students will return feeling enthusiastic about the year ahead.
Orientation Day commences at 9:15am and finishes for all new students to the College at 3:00pm.
Students will spend time rotating around several subject areas and becoming familiar with protocols, teaching staff, the layout of the College and expectations.
All new students to the College will complete some benchmark testing in the afternoon. The results of this testing will help us ascertain each students strengths and areas of challenge - providing us with valuable information to best prepare for their arrival. These tests are not something that need to be studied for - they are simply to provide data for staff.
