How We Care...

Hills Adventist College proudly fosters in each young person a love of learning, the habits of an intellectual life, and the character, moral strength, and qualities of leadership to serve and shape their world.

At Hills our students learn that there is enormous potential and power in being part of a community that focuses on building students into people of character and integrity. In our classrooms, on our athletic courts, within science labs, and on stage, life-long lessons are learned in daring to participate, lead, and explore.

Whether your child is entering the Early Learning Centre, the Junior School, our Middle School, or even as a senior school student we are committed to helping them through every part of their experience. Every stage of the journey through our College has been carefully designed to bring out the best in your child and to give them choice and opportunity to become the person they want to be as they head toward adulthood.

Learning and the development of character should never be a solo journey; supporting each child is a staff of people committed to helping each child reach their potential. Our staff works hard to get to know the students because not only do they teach them in the class room, but they coach or manage sports teams, get involved in service projects, debating and music, attend outdoor education camps and manage the pastoral care program. One of the great strengths of our school is the way in which students feel a sense of belonging and that they are known.

As Australians, we are proud of coming from different and blended cultures, ethnicities, language groups, philosophies and faiths. However despite these differences we share a collective identity and purpose.  We are blessed to have students from all different cultures; this blend of cultures adds richness to the values, attitudes and experiences within our college community.  We know as educators that groups with diverse sets of experiences, different ways of doing things, alternative thinking styles and interpretations offer more options and more creative solutions to problems and challenges.
